Framing a canvas painting does more than protect it from dust, dings, and daily handling—it gives the artwork structure, enhances its visual impact, and helps it hold space on the wall with presence and intention.
Jaki Frames offers three frame styles for canvas: float frame, slim frame, and box frame.
Each one is made to fit the depth of your painting—whether it’s on a thick gallery wrap or a thinner stretched canvas—and can be customized with your choice of wood stain.
Float Frame
A float frame gives gallery-wrapped canvases a clean, modern look by creating the illusion that the artwork is suspended within the frame. A half-inch gap reveals the painting’s sides and adds a subtle shadow line for extra depth. Made with nearly an inch-thick pine wood, this style adds size and presence while letting the artwork breathe.
Slim Frame
The slim frame is a sleek, refined option that offers a subtle finish without pulling focus from the artwork. At just half an inch thick, it sits flush against the canvas, covering the sides and giving the piece a clean, tailored edge. Its quiet presence makes it ideal for artworks that are already visually bold or call for a minimal frame.
Box Frame
The box frame slightly overlaps the canvas face, creating a shadowed outline and adding visual depth. It’s especially suited for thinner surfaces like canvas boards, providing a firm hold and a more dimensional, structured finish.
Frame Material
All frames are handcrafted from treated pine wood—light in tone, naturally grained, and sturdy. The wood is stainable to various shades and sealed with a lacquer finish for durability. Grain patterns may vary, and minor surface irregularities are part of its natural character.
